Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In February 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth almost US$1.32 billion, according to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan.

Compared to February 2023, the volume of precious metal exports increased by 11.5%.

The share of gold in the total exports of Uzbekistan in January-February 2024 amounted to 36.3%, while in January-February 2023 it was 37%.

It is important to note that in January 2024, Uzbekistan did not export gold. In the first two months of 2023, precious metal exports amounted to US$1.2 billion.

In general, in 2023, Uzbekistan sold gold worth US$8.1 billion, which is almost double the figures for 2022.
