Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 15 September, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev held a meeting with World Economic Forum representative Dietrich N. John. This was reported by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed opportunities to expand Uzbekistan’s presence on the platforms of the World Economic Forum.

In particular, they discussed promoting the reforms being implemented in the country, investment opportunities and promising economic initiatives among leading international companies and financial institutions.

Particular attention was paid to increasing the participation of Uzbek companies in Forum events, as well as developing direct contacts with global business leaders, investors and strategic partners.

The sides confirmed their readiness to use the opportunities provided by the World Economic Forum to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position on the global economic agenda and expand engagement with the international business community.
