Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Association of Agricultural Producers of Uzbekistan and the Savdo va servis Association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.

The document was signed by Saidvali Nasreddinov, chairman of the Association of Agricultural Producers, and Zafar Khoshimov, chairman of the Savdo va servis Association.

The cooperation aims to further strengthen the supply chain from agricultural producers to retail chains, hotels and catering businesses.

As noted, buyers today need quality products, the required volume, established standards and timely delivery. Producers, in turn, need a stable market and reliable buyers.

To bring these needs together, the sides discussed a concept for establishing special hubs in the regions. Under a unified system, the hubs are planned to handle product sorting and grading, processing, packaging, preparation to meet quality requirements, and supplies to retailers and HoReCa businesses.

As a result, the route from producer to buyer will become more systematically organized.

The signed memorandum will serve as a basis for new projects and practical cooperation in this area.
