Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of entrepreneurs from the Syrian Arab Republic visiting Uzbekistan on a business trip began its familiarization program with a visit to the IMZO plant, which produces aluminum and window profiles as well as modern facade solutions.
The enterprise is one of the major producers in the industry. Nearly 2,500 employees work there. The plant covers a total area of 16 hectares, while its annual export volume amounts to 20,000 square meters.
During the visit, Syrian entrepreneurs were provided with information about the enterprise’s production capacity, modern technologies and product range. Delegation members also observed the production processes firsthand.
The Syrian entrepreneurs highly appreciated the scale of the enterprise and its production technologies, showing particular interest in products intended for the construction industry.
This area is particularly relevant for Syria. Reconstruction of construction and infrastructure is expanding in the country, and demand for construction solutions such as aluminum and window products and facade systems remains high.
The visit included discussions on opportunities to export Uzbek products to the Syrian market, establish trade ties and implement joint projects in the future.
The delegation’s second industrial destination was Almerro Group, which produces confectionery products under the Krember brand.
The enterprise was the second stop on the Syrian delegation’s familiarization program in Uzbekistan. During the visit, the guests learned about the company’s production capacity, product range and export potential.
The Almerro Group production complex covers 8.5 hectares and consists of three buildings. The total area of the production facilities is 70,000 square meters. Around 1,000 employees work at the enterprise.
The company’s annual export volume amounts to US$20 million, with its products exported to 15 countries.
At the end of the visit, the Syrian entrepreneurs discussed opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation in the food industry and establish new business ties.
As part of the visit by the delegation of the business community of the Syrian Arab Republic to Uzbekistan, its members also familiarized themselves with the activities of Zelal Tekstil.
During the visit, the guests were provided with information about the enterprise’s production processes, product range and opportunities in the textile industry.
The sides also held talks on implementing joint projects in the textile sector, exchanging experience and developing investment cooperation.
The meeting also included proposals to establish practical ties in the future and jointly implement promising projects.
