Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) held a meeting with representatives of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the leadership of the Local Organising Committee for the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup in Australia.

The meeting focused primarily on preparations for the 2029 Women’s Asian Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan.

The participants discussed key organisational issues related to the upcoming tournament, including infrastructure preparations, logistics and transport arrangements.

Particular attention was given to creating the necessary conditions for teams and official delegations, as well as ensuring effective tournament management.

Representatives of the Local Organising Committee for the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup in Australia shared their experience in preparing for and staging the tournament. They outlined the main stages of organisational work, operational processes and cooperation between different areas.

Practical solutions used during the competition in Australia were also discussed.

The sides exchanged views on opportunities to apply international experience in preparing for the tournament in Uzbekistan.

In particular, they discussed integrating initiatives aimed at further developing women’s football into preparations for the 2029 Asian Cup.

The meeting provided a platform for organisers to exchange practical experience and discuss the main areas of Uzbekistan’s preparations to host the continental competition.
