Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s national para judo team won seven medals at the World Para Judo Championships in Tbilisi, finishing the tournament with one gold, one silver and five bronze medals.
Following the competition, the team returned to Tashkent.
Uzbek para judokas competed at the World Championships held in the Georgian capital and added seven medals to Uzbekistan’s medal tally.
The team’s main achievement was a gold medal. Uzbek athletes also won one silver medal and reached the third step of the podium five times.
Following the tournament, the Uzbekistan delegation returned home. The athletes were welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by coaches, representatives of the sporting community and fans.
Uzbekistan therefore finished the World Para Judo Championships in Tbilisi with seven medals — one gold, one silver and five bronze.
