Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Hududgazta’minot JSC identified 1,217 violations in the supply and sale of liquefied petroleum gas following more than 3,000 unannounced inspections and raids conducted in 2025 and the first nine months of 2026. Criminal cases were opened in 19 instances based on materials submitted to law enforcement agencies.

According to the company, the inspections uncovered illegal sales of liquefied gas through 471 specialised outlets known as “bunkers”. Measures taken prevented the illegal sale of 193.6 tonnes of gas worth approximately 2 billion soums, as well as 17,301 household gas cylinders valued at a total of 8.7 billion soums.

In addition, internal investigations conducted during the first nine months of 2026 revealed the theft of 1,400 tonnes of liquefied gas and 10,626 household gas cylinders. The company submitted 25 sets of materials to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment, leading to the opening of criminal cases.

The company’s compliance control units continue to conduct unannounced inspections and raids, investigate the causes of violations and take measures to prevent them from recurring.

Hududgazta’minot supplies liquefied gas to more than 3.73 million residents of Uzbekistan and around 2,000 social facilities.

The company said the measures to strengthen oversight are part of reforms to the liquefied gas supply system. Presidential Resolution No. 326 provides for the development of market mechanisms, greater transparency in the sector and state financial support for socially vulnerable groups.

Consumers can report the illegal sale of liquefied gas intended for household use and other violations through Hududgazta’minot’s hotline at +998 71 202-1104 or 1104. Complaints can also be sent by email to info@hududgaz.uz and antikorruptsiya@hududgaz.uz, or submitted through the compliance control department’s Telegram bot: https://t.me/hgt_antikor_bot.
