Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry and international consulting firm PwC have discussed ways to improve financial management in the healthcare system.

Agency Director Abdulla Azizov met with PwC representatives on 25 October 2026. The sides discussed the management of medical institutions, the organisation of audit processes and the implementation of international financial reporting standards.

Particular attention was paid to improving the transparency of financial transactions, harmonising accounting practices and enhancing management mechanisms at healthcare organisations.

Following the meeting, the parties considered further steps to apply international expertise, strengthen financial oversight and improve the efficiency of management processes.

These efforts are intended to support more effective use of funds, increase reporting transparency and improve financial management across Uzbekistan’s healthcare system.
