Uzbekistan, China Discuss Uranium Industry Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held between representatives of the state enterprise Navoiyuran and a delegation from the Chinese company State Nuclear Uranium Resources Development Co., Ltd., which was visiting Uzbekistan for the first time, as part of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the uranium industry, including the development of deposits and the conduct of geological exploration and prospecting work at new promising sites.

Particular attention during the talks was given to possible cooperation in developing technological regulations for non-traditional types of uranium deposits. The parties also discussed scientific cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the introduction of modern technological solutions.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a working group to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and determine priority areas for further joint work.
