Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Construction of an Uzbek-Tajik trade, logistics and medical center is continuing in the Urgut district of Samarkand Region. Samarkand Region Governor Adiz Bobev inspected the progress of the work together with regional sector heads.
A modern shopping complex and parking area are being built on the logistics center’s premises under a public-private partnership.
During the inspection, the regional governor emphasized the need for careful planning of the retail space. In particular, he proposed dividing the shops into separate blocks according to the type of goods sold, including electrical equipment, knitwear and food products.
Particular attention was also paid to landscaping the site. According to Bobev, the project should include green areas, flowers, trees and shrubs, as well as designated locations for advertising structures.
The organization of sanitary facilities was also discussed. A representative of the developer said toilets are planned at three locations, two of which have already been completed. The third facility is planned near the entrance from Tajikistan.
Bobev instructed those responsible to determine the locations of the sanitary facilities carefully so that they are convenient for visitors and within easy reach.
Following the visit, responsible officials were given instructions on developing the necessary infrastructure and ensuring that construction work meets established quality requirements.
