Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A shipment of undeclared goods preliminarily valued at 1.135 billion soums was discovered at the Dustlik border customs post in Andijan region.

While examining cargo documents and electronic declarations, customs officers became suspicious about the contents of the shipments being transported. The vehicles were sent for inspection through the red channel.

During the customs inspection, officers found goods that had not been listed in the accompanying documents or declaration.

The shipment included 23,000 bicycle tires and 2,200 lead batteries intended for electric scooters.

The goods were placed in temporary storage.

An investigation is underway, after which the relevant legal assessment will be provided.
