Uzbekistan, China Boost Scientific and Tech Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Uktam Salomov is participating on 16 April in the seventh meeting of the Subcommittee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation under the Uzbekistan–China Intergovernmental Commission, held in China.
During the visit, talks were held with representatives of Chongqing University, focusing on prospects for cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding предусматривающий the introduction of advanced solutions in architecture and engineering, as well as the development of technology transfer mechanisms.
In addition, the Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with modern production processes at automotive enterprises Seres (AITO) and Changan. The participants also visited the Joint Chinese-Uzbek Laboratory for Urban Development.
These activities are aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in scientific, technological and innovation spheres, as well as expanding joint high-tech projects.
