Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek business delegation held talks with European businesses during a visit to Belgium and Luxembourg and reached a number of agreements to develop trade and economic cooperation, Dunyo news agency reported.
As part of the visit, bilateral B2B meetings were held with representatives of local and European companies.
The talks focused on investment cooperation, transport connectivity, access for Uzbek products to European Union markets, financial cooperation and the development of digital services.
A separate meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium with representatives of the European Commission and the European Investment Bank.
The participants discussed prospects for investment cooperation, the Global Gateway initiative, transport infrastructure development and expanded engagement with the private sector.
Following the talks, the sides reached agreements to expand trade and economic ties, develop logistics routes and increase supplies of Uzbek products to the Belgian market.
The sides also agreed to develop technological and investment cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
