Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — First Deputy Governor of Ferghana Region Mirzohid Ubaydullaev held a meeting with European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar and around 10 ambassadors and diplomats from EU member states, the Ferghana Region administration reported.

The sides noted the consistent development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union, emphasizing the importance of expanding direct contacts between regions.

The participants discussed the potential for cooperation between Ferghana Region and European countries in trade and economic relations, investment, industry, tourism and the social sector.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening interregional cooperation with EU member states, implementing joint investment projects and making effective use of existing opportunities.
