Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Kazakhstan, including regional heads and representatives of various sectors, has visited the Tashkent region to study its experience in poverty reduction, improving the business environment and organising the work of the "mahalla seven", the Tashkent region administration said.
As part of the visit, the Kazakh representatives visited mahallas in the Urtachirchiq, Yukorichirchiq and Kibray districts, where they reviewed projects to create new sources of income for the population.
In the Urtachirchiq district, the delegation studied projects in the Tinchlik and Korasuv mahallas being implemented in trade and services, furniture production, and the processing and packaging of agricultural produce.
In the Yukorichirchiq district, the Kazakh representatives reviewed the operations of the YUQORICHIRCHIQ ENERGY SYSTEMS and ROSEN PARK enterprises, visited a table tennis centre and reviewed the conditions created at school No. 18.
In the Kibray district, the delegation visited the agrotourism project of AGRO LIGHT BUSINESS LLC and reviewed the operations of MIRSOBIR-AGRO NIHOL LLC, where strawberry cultivation is organised on the One Mahalla — One Product principle.
During the field meetings, the two sides exchanged experience on the effective use of mahallas' potential, the development of entrepreneurship, the creation of new jobs and sustainable sources of income.
The Kazakh representatives also spoke about the best approaches and practices used in their regions and discussed promising areas for further cooperation.
