Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — By Presidential Resolution No. PP–219 dated 7 July 2025, the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the Protocol amending the Agreement of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states on the interstate search for persons, originally signed on 10 December 2010.

The Protocol was signed on 18 October 2024 in Moscow.

According to the resolution, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been designated as the authorized bodies responsible for implementing the provisions of the international agreement.

The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and agencies have been tasked with ensuring control over the fulfillment of obligations following the entry into force of the document in accordance with the established procedure.
