Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan launch park projects in capitals
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev launched the creation of Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent. A 4-hectare site has been allocated for the new public space, the Uzbek presidential press service said.
The park is planned as a modern public space reflecting Azerbaijan’s culture, centuries-old history and national traditions. The project is intended to become a place showcasing the cultural ties and friendship between the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples.
During the ceremony, the two presidents placed symbolic capsules at the site of the future park, officially launching the project.
The initiative to create national parks in the capitals of the two countries is reciprocal. During Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Azerbaijan, a capsule was laid in Baku’s White City area to mark the foundation of the future Uzbekistan Park.
Uzbekistan Park in Baku will cover 4.5 hectares. The site is planned to feature a complex showcasing Uzbekistan’s culture and traditions, as well as elements of its national architectural heritage. The project includes architectural representations of Uzbekistan’s historical monuments, green areas and walking spaces.
Thus, Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent and Uzbekistan Park in Baku are intended to become symbols of friendship, mutual respect and the spiritual ties between the two peoples.
