Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Uzbekistan and the Immigration Department of Malaysia have discussed further simplifying the visa regime for Uzbek citizens, including the possibility of visa-free stays for up to 30 days and easing procedures for obtaining long-term visas, Dunyo News Agency reported.
During a meeting between Uzbek diplomats and Deputy Director-General of the Malaysian Immigration Department Aminudin bin Yahaya, the parties focused on prospects for developing cooperation in migration.
The Uzbek side outlined ongoing reforms in the country's visa policy and detailed measures implemented to ensure safe external labor migration while supporting Uzbek citizens working and studying abroad. Both sides noted steady progress in Uzbek-Malaysian bilateral ties across trade, economic, tourism, educational, and cultural-humanitarian sectors.
