Metro Staff Rescue Cat From Tracks at Kosmonavtlar Station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Tashkent Metro worker rescued a cat that was spotted on the tracks at Kosmonavtlar station on 16 August 2026, UzDaily.uz reported, citing the press service of the Tashkent Metro.

Metro staff noticed the animal on the tracks at approximately 20:01 and took immediate action to handle the situation. M. Makhmayusupov, a technical assistance specialist from the Tunnel Structures department, carried the cat off the tracks to safety.

According to metro authorities, the animal was unharmed, and the incident did not cause any disruption to train schedules.
