Uzbekistan and Todua Clinic Sign Cooperation Memorandum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Abdulla Azizov, director of the Agency for Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sector of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the management of Todua Clinic, a leading multidisciplinary medical institution in Georgia that specializes in oncology and high-tech medical care.
During the talks, the parties discussed the development of the clinical trials ecosystem in Uzbekistan, expanding the country's participation in international clinical trials, implementing modern methods of diagnosis and treatment in the field of oncology, and strengthening scientific cooperation.
The meeting participants also reviewed prospects for organizing and managing clinical trials, implementing international Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, increasing the capacity of research centers, and executing joint educational programs.
Additionally, the sides discussed organizing advanced training courses, internships, and expert exchange programs for doctors, clinical research specialists, and pharmacists.
Following the meeting, the Agency for Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sector and Todua Clinic signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document is expected to facilitate the development of clinical trials in Uzbekistan, primarily in the field of oncology, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and support the training of highly qualified specialists.
