Over 60,000 Citizens to Receive Solar Energy Subsidies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — More than 60,000 participants in the "Solar House" program will receive subsidies for electricity generated by solar panels and transferred to the unified power grid during April and May 2026, the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan announced.
According to the agency, payments from the State Budget will be provided to 60,193 individuals. The total volume of subsidies will amount to 156.125 billion soums for supplying 156.125 million kWh of solar electricity to the electrical networks.
Residents of the Khorezm region will receive the largest volumes of subsidies, totaling 29.1 billion soums, followed by the Bukhara region with 27.1 billion soums, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan with 19.1 billion soums.
Recipients will be able to transfer the funds to a bank card through the Soliq mobile application. To do this, users must access the "Cashback and Benefits" service and select the "Solar House" section within the "Transfer to Card" menu.
The Tax Committee recalled that the "Solar House" program has been in effect since 1 April 2023. Under the initiative, individuals are paid a subsidy of 1,000 soums for each kilowatt-hour of electricity generated by solar panels installed on their properties and transferred to the unified electricity system in excess of their own consumption.
