Uzbekistan and Poland Expand Economic Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 April, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov, held talks with the Minister of Finance and Economy of Poland, Andrzej Domański, on the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
During the discussions, the sides reviewed key areas of bilateral cooperation, with particular attention to macroeconomic stability, support for ongoing economic reforms, and expanded engagement with international financial institutions.
Special emphasis was placed on Poland’s experience in regional development, including administrative decentralization, strengthening the economic potential of regions, and the development of industrial zones and cluster-based models.
The parties also discussed measures to stimulate economic growth through infrastructure development, improved investment attraction mechanisms, and the reduction of regional disparities.
The agenda further included the expansion of trade and economic ties and strengthening investment cooperation in sectors such as industry, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further developing the partnership, advancing practical initiatives, and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland.
