Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held a meeting with Latvian Ambassador to Tashkent Girts Jaunzems, the press service of the MFA reported.

The parties reviewed the outcomes of the Uzbek delegation’s visit to Latvia on 27–28 January 2025, and agreed on further steps to implement the agreements reached, particularly in the field of labor migration.

Following the talks, it was decided to expedite the Latvian side’s consideration of the draft intergovernmental agreement and to organize consular consultations between the relevant departments of the two countries’ foreign ministries.
