Uzbek head appoints new higher education minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov appointed new minister of higher and secondary special education of Uzbekistan on 1 March 2010.

In line with the presidential decree, Bakhodir Hodiev headed the Ministry of higher and secondary special education of Uzbekistan.

Bakhodir Hodiev replaced at this post Azimjon Parpiev. Parpiev had worked as the minister of higher and secondary special education since 3 January 2008.
