The court found Adilov guilty under Part 1 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (extortion) in relation to one citizen, as well as under clauses “b” and “c” of Part 3 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code (repeated fraud committed using an information system, including information technologies) in relation to two citizens.

The total damage caused to the citizens amounted to 75 million soums. During the proceedings, Adilov fully compensated the damage.
The court sentenced the blogger to four years in prison.
The press service of the Jizzakh regional courts separately noted that the criminal case was not related to Adilov’s activities on social media. The case concerned the acquisition of citizens’ property through fraud and extortion.
Sirojiddin Adilov was detained in March 2026 on suspicion of fraud. At the time, the Samarkand regional police department reported that he had received money after promising to help resolve a financial dispute but failed to fulfil his commitments.
Human rights defender Abdurakhmon Tashanov had previously alleged procedural violations in the investigation of the criminal case against the blogger.
