US congressional delegation arrives in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the US House of Representatives led by Jason Smith, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has arrived in Uzbekistan, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis said.

The US delegation was received by Sodiq Safoyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with Uzbek lawmakers. The sides plan to discuss strengthening interparliamentary relations between the two countries, as well as further developing trade, economic and investment cooperation.
