UK defence officials visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officials from UK’s Ministry of Defence visited Tashkent between 4 and 6 September, the British Embassy in Tashkent said.

Air Vice Marshal Graham Howard, accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Rob Cogan as part of ongoing bilateral defence cooperation between the UK and Uzbekistan.

The UK’s support to Afghanistan will continue long after UK combat troops leave in 2014.

The UK is committed to helping secure long term peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region and supporting a viable Afghan state and Afghan-led efforts towards a sustainable future
