Uzbekistan Hosts Official Reception for Albanian President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An official reception ceremony for the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, was held at the Kuksaroy residence on 16 June.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev greeted the visiting head of state at the forecourt of the residence, where an honour guard was lined up. After the welcoming ceremony, the leaders proceeded to the podium for the official protocol event.

Military orchestra performed the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Albania. The two presidents then reviewed the honour guard and greeted members of the official delegations of both countries.

Following the ceremony and a joint photograph session, the presidents proceeded to high-level talks.

The discussions are expected to focus on further development of bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
