Chinese Investor to Invest $20 Million in Fergana Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Chinese investor plans to invest approximately $20 million in establishing modern industrial enterprises in the Bagdad District of Fergana Region, according to the press service of the Fergana Region Khokimiyat.

Khokim of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with Chinese investor Yang Cuizhong to discuss the implementation of the industrial project and other prospective areas for investment cooperation.

To execute the project, the investor created and registered a foreign enterprise named GRANDHUNT 1688 in the Bagdad District. The facility plans to establish metal structure processing alongside the production of corrugated board and sandwich panels.

A 5-hectare land plot in the Bagdad District economic zone is scheduled to be allocated for the project. Two modern manufacturing enterprises are expected to be constructed on the site in two phases.

Under the first phase, work has already begun on delivering the necessary technological equipment and organizing the production of metal structures and sandwich panels. The second phase provides for the construction of modern production plants.

During the meeting, special attention was given to creating the necessary conditions for the efficient implementation of the investment project. Khayrullo Bozorov expressed readiness to provide the investor with full assistance in accordance with established procedures.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a mutual cooperation agreement.
