Two Uzbek Citizens Die in Traffic Accident in Mordovia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Two citizens of Uzbekistan died and three others sustained injuries in a traffic accident in the Republic of Mordovia, Russia, according to the press service of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, which has taken the situation under control.

The accident occurred on 6 August on the 180th kilometer of the M-5 Ural federal highway near the village of Blokhino in the Lyambir district. A MAZ truck collided with a Spark passenger car bearing Uzbek state registration plates.

As a result of the crash, Uzbek citizens A. A. P., born in 1996, and B. Sh. A., born in 1997, died. Three other citizens of the country—A. R. P., born in 2002, B. M. A., born in 1989, and A. M. P., born in 2006—were delivered to the Central Clinical Hospital of Mordovia with various injuries.

The Consulate General has established cooperation with competent authorities and is keeping the situation under control.

The Migration Agency is taking measures to repatriate the bodies of the deceased to their homeland after conducting forensic medical examinations and completing other necessary procedures.

The injured individuals received the necessary medical care and were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
