Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The 2nd National Conference on the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TCTC) will be held in Tashkent on 30 September 2026, focusing on the development of transport connectivity between Central Asia and Europe.
The event will bring together representatives of government agencies, international financial institutions, development partners and the private sector.
The conference will be co-chaired by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships. The main focus will be on turning shared transport connectivity priorities into concrete investment projects and reforms.
The event will build on work launched at the Investment Forum on the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Connectivity, held in Tashkent in November 2025, as well as at the first national seminar of the TCTC Coordination Platform in September 2024.
The conference will discuss Uzbekistan’s priorities for strengthening its role along the Trans-Caspian route.
Key areas will include investment in railway and road infrastructure, the development of an efficient logistics network, the digitalization of transport and trade documents, the simplification of border-crossing procedures and greater private-sector participation.
The conference is being held within the EU-funded TCTC Coordination Platform and the Global Gateway strategy. The platform brings together the five Central Asian countries, the European Union, international financial institutions and other partners to coordinate investments and reforms.
The platform’s work is aimed at developing the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor as a more sustainable, secure and efficient route between Europe and Asia.
The results of the conference are expected to be taken into account in further joint work on priority investment projects and measures aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the TCTC, as well as strengthening Uzbekistan’s role in the regional transport system.
