Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan met with Major General Bobby Ginn, Commander of the Mississippi National Guard, to discuss further development of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and the US state.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
Particular attention was paid to the cooperation programme between Uzbekistan and the Mississippi National Guard, which has been implemented since 2012. The programme includes exchanges of specialists, joint exercises and activities focused on emergency preparedness.
The sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in emergency response, search-and-rescue operations, protection of critical infrastructure and specialist training.
The participants expressed interest in further developing practical cooperation in these areas.
