Tashkent Reservoir to Test Emergency Warning System

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A technical test of the local emergency warning system will be conducted at the Tashkent Reservoir on 17 July 2026. The test aims to assess the operational readiness of the equipment.

According to the Tashkent regional administration, the test may involve the brief activation of sirens and voice broadcast warning devices in certain parts of the region.

The testing activities may affect the Urtachirchik, Pskent, and Akkurgandistricts, as well as the city of Nurafshon.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged residents to remain calm, noting that the test is a routine technical procedure and is not related to any actual emergency.

Citizens were advised to be understanding of the testing activities and to avoid unnecessary concern.
