Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tashkent Region and representatives of Belarusian business discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in logistics, freight transportation, agricultural processing, and the development of export cooperation.

The negotiations were conducted by the Deputy Khokim of the Tashkent Region Jakhongir Mamajonov with Belarusian entrepreneur Alexander Zaitsev and representatives from Bremino Group, SOHRA Group, and other enterprises within the group.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed opportunities for creating modern logistics centers and customs terminals, developing international freight transportation, organizing the deep processing of agro-industrial products, and expanding the region's export potential.

Special attention was paid to the transport and logistics capabilities of the Belarusian companies, which possess a developed network of freight shipping to European countries. According to the participants of the meeting, utilizing this infrastructure could facilitate the promotion of products from Tashkent Region enterprises to European markets.

The representatives of the Belarusian side were also presented with information about the advantages of the region, including its favorable geographical location, industrial and export potential, the presence of special economic zones, and the conditions created for implementing investment projects.

Following the negotiations, Alexander Zaitsev expressed interest in developing cooperation with the Tashkent Region and proposed a working visit to the region at the end of this month to study promising projects in detail and discuss practical steps for their implementation.

The parties expressed confidence that the upcoming visit will allow the reached agreements to move into a practical phase and will mark a new stage in the development of bilateral cooperation.
