Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The 16th Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road," originally scheduled for 15–19 September 2024, has been postponed, according to the event’s organizers.
In their statement, the organizers noted that Uzbekistan is hosting numerous international events this year, some of which coincide with the festival dates. These include the Futsal World Cup and several major international forums and conferences.
Despite the fact that submissions for the competition program were closed, with over 400 films from 60 countries, the growing interest in the festival led to further submissions, prompting a review of the event’s timeline.
The organizers apologized to participants and expressed sincere gratitude for the continued interest in the festival.
