Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 27 March, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with a Hungarian delegation led by László Windisch, President of Hungary’s State Audit Office.

The head of the Hungarian delegation highlighted Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms, its commitment to strengthening good-neighborly relations, and its open and pragmatic foreign policy.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the historical significance of Uzbek-Hungarian ties, which are rooted in long-standing friendship and brotherhood. Discussions focused on the prospects of strategic partnership, which continues to develop through the efforts of the leaders of both nations.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of joint projects in trade, economy, and water management, as well as the expansion of interregional cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on monitoring the implementation of state policies and the development of interparliamentary relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing planned initiatives.
