Single Coordination Center begins charity work

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - A single coordination center, organized in the capital’s Uzexpocenter, has begun charity work. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.

Today, based on the list provided by 514 mahallas about low-income families and single elderly people, 100 volunteers delivered the necessary food products (beef and chicken, flour, rice, potatoes, onions, sugar, butter, pasta) to 1996 citizens.

Lonely senior citizens and low-income families who are in need of food, clothing, and medicines can call 1197 short number and ask for help.

The center will satisfy appeals on the basis of funds and assistance from the government, khokimiyat and sponsors.
