Ferghana, Head Honchos Discuss US Employment Opportunities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Governor Khairullo Bozorov held a meeting with Todd Miller, president of US company Head Honchos LLC, to discuss the development of legal and organised labour migration for residents of the region to the United States.

The talks focused on opportunities for seasonal employment for residents of Ferghana Region in agriculture and other sectors of the US labour market.

Head Honchos LLC specialises in recruiting foreign workers for agricultural enterprises, farms, landscaping services and other seasonal sectors in the United States. The company also works with employers and assists with the processing of H-2A and H-2B work visas.

The sides discussed modern approaches to organising labour migration, including candidate selection, language and professional training, as well as establishing direct links with US employers.

Todd Miller noted the results of agricultural reforms in Ferghana Region and said the region’s agricultural potential could help meet the needs of the US seasonal labour market.

Khairullo Bozorov said that cooperation with relevant organisations would be ensured to implement the agreements reached, and that the regional administration would provide the necessary support.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of labour migration.
