Illegal Umrah Travel Operation Uncovered in Kokand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An illegal scheme organizing Umrah pilgrimage trips has been uncovered in Kokand, Ferghana Region, according to the Committee for Religious Affairs.

The head of DXB tour LLC, identified as U.M., promised to send two citizens on the Umrah pilgrimage and demanded US$2,600 for the services without holding the required license.

The incident was detected on 5 August 2026 in the city of Kokand. Appropriate legal measures are currently being taken against the individual.
