Uzbekneftegaz Seeks Long-Term Jet A-1 Supplies from China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Abdugani Sanginov, chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, held a meeting with a Chinese delegation led by Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan. The sides discussed strategic cooperation in the oil and gas sector, joint investment projects and new areas of cooperation, Uzbekneftegaz’s information service reported.

One of the key topics was the possibility of arranging long-term supplies of Jet A-1 aviation fuel from China. Uzbekneftegaz is considering this area as part of efforts to diversify the country’s aviation fuel supply system and establish a stable supply network.

The sides also discussed assistance from the Chinese Embassy in establishing direct cooperation with Chinese companies China National Aviation Fuel Group (CNAF) and Sinopec.

The meeting also noted that Uzbekneftegaz is already implementing a number of projects with major Chinese companies, including CNPC, CCDC, BGP, Jereh and Honghua. The cooperation covers geological exploration, well construction, oilfield services and the introduction of modern technologies.

The sides confirmed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation, implement new investment and technology projects and develop the strategic partnership in the energy sector.
