Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s airline Centrum Air and Polish company A-Quatro have discussed organising air cargo services from China to Poland. The meeting was held in Tashkent during a visit by a Polish business delegation to Uzbekistan.
The talks were attended by A-Quatro Director Adrian Aleksin and Mohi Shenesh, Centrum Air’s Deputy Commercial Director for Cargo and Director of Business Development.
The sides considered the possibility of operating charter cargo flights to transport consumer goods, electronics and clothing. Guangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen airports were discussed as potential departure points in China.
The final choice of routes is expected to be made after the sides assess airport capabilities, obtain the necessary permits and agree on handling arrangements.
The participants also discussed multimodal freight delivery options. One proposal involved transporting goods from China to Tashkent by road and then sending them to Europe by air.
Following the talks, the sides agreed to continue exchanging working materials. The next stage is expected to involve discussions on indicative rates and commercial terms of cooperation.
No information has been provided on when the services might begin, their expected frequency or cargo volumes.
