In accordance with the third direction of the Five initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan - creating conditions for the wide and effective use of computer technologies by the population and youth, attracting young people to entrepreneurship in the field of information technology by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with state authorities, work continues on the creation of digital technology training centers throughout the republic.
In Karakul and Alat districts of the Bukhara region, new training centers for digital technologies with modern infrastructure have been opened to train the population in information technologies and the effective use of computer technologies and the Internet.
In 2017, Huawei carried out the first pilot project to introduce smart technologies into the school education system at specialized school No. 59 with in-depth study of the Chinese language in Tashkent.
2020 has been declared in our country as the Year of Science, Education and Development of the Digital Economy, and large-scale work has begun in this direction. In particular, on 28 April, the President signed a resolution "On measures for the widespread introduction of the digital economy and electronic government."
By the Government resolution from 14 April, in order to eliminate problems arising from the complexity and lack of transparency in the process of adopting resolutions and orders by khokims, the electronic system "E-qaror" will be launched, which envisages the adoption of khokims of documents completely in electronic form.
On the initiative of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, and the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the State Corporation Roscosmos, JSC Russian Space Systems and JSC Glavkosmos, a webinar was held on the topic "Application of remote sensing data in various sectors of the economy."
Under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held on 22 September on the implementation of the digital economy and e-government in industries and regions.
By Government resolution, Golibsher Ziyaev was appointed head of the State Inspectorate for Control in the Sphere of Informatization and Telecommunications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
To ensure the fulfillment of tasks identified in five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the "Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy", improving the quality of life of the population and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and development of the "digital economy", a comprehensive program "Digital Tashkent" was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. To implement this program, the Department of Digital Development was created under the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.
In order to accelerate work in the regions in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the widespread introduction of the digital economy and electronic government" from 28 April 2020, the leadership and working group of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and communications visited Khorezm region.
