Uzbekistan Wins Five Awards at International Physics Olympiad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's national team won five awards at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), held in Colombia from 4 to 12 July. The team earned two silver medals, two bronze medals and one Honorable Mention.

The silver medals were awarded to Asylbek Jumanazarov, a student at the Specialised School of Exact Sciences under the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University, and Muhammad Abdumalikov from the Mirzo Ulugbek Specialised School.

The bronze medals were won by Elbek Urakov, who also represents the Specialised School of Exact Sciences under the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University, and Hasan Kamolov, a student at Specialised School No. 1 in Kokand.

Javokhir Aknazarov from the Mirzo Ulugbek Specialised School received a Honorable Mention.
