Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will establish a Technical College for Rescuer Training under the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The institution will begin operating in the 2027/2028 academic year under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 611, dated 6 November 2026.

The establishment of the college was previously предусмотрed by Presidential Resolution No. PP-123, dated 3 April 2026.

The new resolution sets out the arrangements for organising the college's activities and the main areas of specialist training.

Graduates of general education institutions will be admitted on state grants or through fee-based contracts.

The educational process will include programmes for initial, secondary and specialised secondary vocational education.

One of the college's main objectives will be to train rescuers for emergency services, equipping them with modern professional knowledge and practical skills.

To improve the quality of training, the curriculum will combine theoretical and practical instruction.

Plans include establishing simulation and virtual laboratories, as well as training grounds where students will be able to practise responding to emergency situations.

Starting in 2029, graduates of the college's vocational programmes will be included in a personnel reserve for emergency services.
