Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbek weightlifter Sardor Lapasov has been banned for four years for violating anti-doping rules, according to a statement from the National Anti-Doping Agency.
A doping test conducted on the athlete during a competition revealed the presence of the substance "Clenbuterol," which is included on the list of prohibited substances for 2024.
As a result of the disqualification, Lapasov is barred from participating in international and national competitions, as well as training camps, until the end of his suspension period.
Any further violations of these conditions could lead to a lifetime ban for the athlete.
