Application of zero customs duty rate for certain consumer goods extended

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree "On additional measures to ensure price stability in consumer markets" was adopted.

According to the Decree, a list of goods has been approved, when imported into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 1 January 2024, a zero customs duty rate is applied. Among them:

- yogurt, buttermilk, condensed milk or cream, kefir;

- cheese and cottage cheese;

- dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guava, mangoes and mangosteen or garcinia, fresh or dried;

- apples, pears and quince, fresh;

- flour from cereals, except wheat or wheat-rye;

- chocolate and other prepared food products containing cocoa.

According to the Decree of the President, earlier this period was set until 1 July 2023.
