Senate Approves New Supreme Court Judges in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the 16th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, lawmakers reviewed the formation of the composition of the country’s Supreme Court. Following deliberations, senators decided to elect new judges to the highest judicial body.

Under the Senate resolution, ten candidates were appointed as judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a ten-year term.

The appointees include Akmaljon Alijonov, Dilfuza Dadadjanova, Dilfuza Juraeva, Utkir Razikov, Sardor Rakhmonov, Mukhiddin Sultonov, Jakhongir Turdimurodov, Luiza Khalitova, Abdusaid Khozhiev and Marat Ergashev.

The decision was made in accordance with established legal procedures and is aimed at ensuring the effective functioning of the country’s judicial system and strengthening the personnel composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
