Four Uzbek Nationals Die in Turkey Within Three Days

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan's General Consulate in Istanbul has reported the deaths of four citizens in Turkey over a three-day span, with three fatalities linked to separate road accidents and a fourth to illness — prompting consular and migration authorities to coordinate repatriation of the remains.

The first incident occurred on June 11 on the North Marmara Highway in Istanbul, where a traffic accident claimed the lives of a 31-year-old Uzbek national identified by initials A.Kh., his Turkish wife, and their two-month-old infant. The following day, June 12, a 23-year-old Uzbek national identified as N.M. died in the Tuzla district of Istanbul after sustaining critical injuries in a separate road collision.

A fifth person connected to the cluster of deaths — a 58-year-old Uzbek woman who had been receiving treatment for cancer — died in an Istanbul hospital during the same period.

The Consulate General extended condolences to the families of all those who perished. Officials confirmed that consular and legal assistance is being provided in coordination with the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, including arrangements for the repatriation of the deceased to their homeland.
