Uzbekistan and Russia discuss digital cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held talks with Russia’s Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev, during which the sides discussed expanding cooperation in digital technologies.
The main focus was placed on the development of digital infrastructure and ecosystems, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, and the creation and operation of modern data centres.
The sides also exchanged experience on the development of digital solutions and technology platforms.
During the meeting, discussions covered the improvement of e-government systems, the enhancement of public digital services, and the development of human capital through training qualified IT specialists.
Another area of dialogue included cross-border data exchange, the introduction of electronic digital signatures, and the development of interstate electronic document circulation.
It was noted that the development of these areas would contribute to further digital integration and create more convenient conditions for citizens and businesses.
The sides also considered support for Uzbekistan’s candidacies to the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the organisation’s Radio Regulations Board.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to prepare a bilateral roadmap that will outline further steps to implement the agreements and develop practical cooperation in the digital sphere.
