Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — IT Park Uzbekistan and EAST GAMES discussed the company’s further development, support for Uzbekistan’s gaming industry and expanding the export potential of local studios.
The meeting was held as part of IT Park Uzbekistan’s efforts to support its participants and assist them in entering international markets, IT Park Uzbekistan said.
IT Park Uzbekistan Director General Azamat Karamatov and representatives of EAST GAMES discussed opportunities to implement new projects, develop the GameDev industry and strengthen the presence of Uzbek companies in foreign markets.
The sides noted the growing role of GameDev not only as an area of the creative industries but also as a promising sector for exporting digital products and entering new international markets.
Particular attention was paid to possible measures to support the further development of EAST GAMES. These include assistance with implementing new projects and the company’s international expansion.
The sides also discussed establishing a support system for GameDev projects at different stages, from incubation and acceleration to preparing teams to work with publishers and investors.
The sides considered additional mechanisms that could enable studios at early stages to test their products, assess their market potential and prepare for further scaling.
Another area discussed was expanding export opportunities for local GameDev companies and their participation in international exhibitions, conferences and business missions. In this context, the sides discussed opportunities to support EAST GAMES’s participation in international events and expand the company’s engagement with foreign partners.
Participation in such events could help establish new contacts with foreign partners, publishers and investors, promote products developed by Uzbek studios in international markets and identify new business opportunities.
The sides also discussed identifying promising GameDev teams operating in Uzbekistan’s regions and involving them in IT Park Uzbekistan’s support programs.
Following the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan and EAST GAMES identified areas of cooperation to develop the GameDev ecosystem, expand export opportunities for local companies and prepare studios to enter international markets.
The sides intend to continue cooperation to support EAST GAMES’s development, expand its export activities and promote GameDev products created in Uzbekistan in the global market.
